How do you all feel about your children working? Personally, I like to encourage it early on. My kids know that if they need a little extra cash they can do EXTRA chores. They all have their daily chores. I’m talking extra like, washing the cars, cleaning off the deck and watering my plants. I think it’s important to teach kids how to rely on themselves. Teach them how to work for what they want and need. Not to expect handouts. My 15-year-old started working when he was 13. Let me tell you, he really likes those paychecks at the end of the week! He’s able to save for a car (which we will match dollar for dollar), buy necessities and have spending money! They key is to also teach them not to be greedy and to stay humble!!
As much as I hate it, money runs this world. Teaching our kids money management will help lock them into a more manageable future!
