At this point in my life, I’ve lost myself. Too scared to outwardly express my personality. I’ve become a robot. I’ve lost who I am and what I stand for. I know I’m a wife and mother yes, but, WHO AM I? I want to know who I am to my core. What’s in my soul? What is my purpose and meaning in life? Self discovery is a long, LONG journey for we are ever-changing beings.
I can’t continue hiding behind my mother/wife title. I’m not just a railroader’s wife and a mother of 5 boys! I’m much, much more than that. I have many layers. Many beliefs and purposes in this universe. Things I want to share with the world. Things I want the world to share with me.
There are a couple of quotes I tell myself every day… Thing I need reminded of every single day on my journey to self discovery!
What you seek, is seeking you – Rumi
Live your truth.
Express your love.
Share your enthusiasm.
Take action towards your dreams.
Walk your walk.
Dance and sing to your own music.
Embrace your blessings.
Make today worth remembering. -Dr. Steve Maraboli
The core of your true self is never lost.
Let go of all the pretending and the becoming you’ve done just to belong.
Curl up with your rawness and come home.
You don’t have to find yourself; you just have to let yourself in. – D. Antoinette Foy
Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you. – Rumi
I definitely encourage everyone to come up with some quotes or a mantra that reflects what they want from this life and speak it true to yourself every day.
Have a magical day!
